As Reo stepped through the shimmering gate, the world around him dissolved into a swirling vortex of colors and light. Aqua’s amorphous form pulsed with an otherworldly glow as it merged with the portal, the two realms blurring together for a brief, disorienting instant. Then, as abruptly as it had begun, the transition ended.
Reo found himself standing on a balcony overlooking a breathtaking vista: a sprawling, walled metropolis stretching out before him, surrounded by lush forests and craggy mountains in the distance. The city was unlike any he had seen before, with towering spires and domes of black stone and obsidian, twisted and gnarled to resemble the claws and fangs of some slumbering beast. Smoke and flame rose from countless chimneys and forges, painting the sky in shades of crimson and amber.
Aqua appeared beside him a moment later, its slime body shimmering in the light. “Behold! The Monster Kingdom, our glorious home, and your new reign as sovereign!” it declared with a dramatic flourish of its tendrils.
*Okay, okay, so it’s a bit… unorthodox. But hey, he’s gonna love it once he gets used to it!*
Aqua gestured to the city below them, its movements exaggerated and theatrical. “Down there, you’ll find all manner of denizen and creature, each one a loyal subject of yours. Well, mostly loyal. Okay, some are just pretending to be loyal until they can get a taste of that sweet, sweet divine nectar you’ll be putting out…”

Aqua’s gaze drifted over to a grand, obsidian throne carved to resemble a monstrous beast, its claws outstretched and ready to ensnare any who dared to sit upon it. The throne dominated one end of the balcony, a stark contrast to the lush greenery and vibrant colors of the kingdom below.
“And that, my friend, is where you’ll be spending a lot of your time. Well, when you’re not busy blessing the blessed… and the not-so-blessed, hehe. But enough about that! What do you think of your new kingdom, oh great and mighty Reo?”
