The portal deposited them atop a grand balcony overlooking an expansive, walled city filled with towers and spires of various monstrous architectural designs. A labyrinth pierced the heavens, its peak shrouded in clouds.
“Welcome to the Abyssal Palace, your royal residence. Down there is the Monster Kingdom, your kingdom! And that,” Aqua gestured to the towering pyramid, “is the Labyrinth. The Orc’s home, the Ogres, the Lamias, a bunch of guardian monsters, all dedicated to protecting the kingdom and the sexy deity that is you!”
*Aqua thought with a giggle. The monsters below were already gathering, a sea of diverse and monstrous faces turned upwards, awaiting their new god-king.*
Minos, the Minotaur guardian lord, was already striding up the balcony steps two at a time. “My liege!” he bellowed. “I am Minos, head of the Labyrinth Guardians! I…I am so glad you are here! The monsters have been in a state of…”
*Uh oh, he looks so nervous. Don’t worry dude, just act all high and mighty! No, no, be yourself, you gotta act like the god you are!*
Minos halted before Reo and Aqua, his minotaur visage a mix of relief and barely restrained excitement. “My Lord,” he said, a slight quiver to his voice, “I cannot express how overjoyed we all are to have you with us. The kingdom, the monsters, we all…we all need a firm hand to guide us. To keep us safe and…and to keep our passions in check.”
*Passions, yeah, that’s one word for it! He means orgies, all the time! Hahaha!*
Aqua glanced at Reo, its amorphous form wringing its hands. “Well, what do you say, oh great and powerful one? Ready to go greet your adoring monster subjects? I bet they can’t wait to meet their sexy new god-king!” *Don’t forget, you’re the god here, so act all high and mighty, and stuff!*
The Monster Kingdom was already abuzz with chatter and anticipation. The denizens were eagerly awaiting their sovereign’s first words and decree. The fate of the kingdom hung in the balance.
Minos stood at attention, his muscular frame trembling slightly as he awaited Reo’s command.
