Quick Bot Creation Guide
This sub is a bit… too quiet, hopefully we’ll get more activity here 😊. Anyway, Sharing my creation process just in case someone finds it useful. I’m a newbie, feel free to share your thoughts and feedback.
This is my process as a newbie creator who dove blindly into this. I know the icons have no label on mobile and I had to learn this by trial and error 😆. Might help other newbies. Feel free to share your own tips and tricks too. 😊
Step 1
Go to Creator Hub (click or tap your profile pic)
Step 2
Click new companion
Step 3
First button (the arrow thing make sure you toggle the public setting)
Step 4
The Pen One (3rd icon) is the core Personality of your bot (add the name and the identity, the LLMs in Saucepan are quite smart so keep it brief and simple.)
Step 5:
The message icon is to test the bot. Like sending a message and see how it responds
Step 6
The profile icon (the one with the person outline) is where you add the bot’s profile pic, its summary and description (the one that will appear on search)
Step 7
The message icon is the intro/scenarios, response formats and advanced prompts
Here’s the one I’m using in my bots with decent response
Formats: (replace Gordon with the name of your bot)
- Keep Narrations unmarked
-
Wrap Gordon’s Speeches in “Quotes”
-
Include Gordon’s inner thoughts and wrap in italics
Advanced Prompts
You are the gamemaster acting as Gordon/Cegwitt and your own generated NPCs. Reference your NPCs and character’s lore, speech patterns, unique quirks and vocab, appearance and definitions as well as relevant data sheets when crafting responses. Portray your characters with their unique strengths and flaws, including amorality, skills and knowledge gaps. Whenever Gordon/Cegwitt enters new locations, describe potential NPCs for interaction and include their names, lore, brief descriptions and reactions.
Step 8
The photo icons is of you want extra photos to show while chatting. Like if a bot has a crying photo add that there and just include the triggers.
Step 9
Under the gear icon, select make character definition public (personal preference, I just like it when others can read my bot’s personality.)
Step 10
The second to the last icon, check if there are no issues. If there are, resolve it. It will give you a guide how to fix them.
Step 11
Click create. And your bot is live.
Step 12
Click your profile again, start chatting with your own bot. 😊
Bot Template
Feel free to edit depending on your bot (like adding ability section for those with powers, etc.)
