because of course the world ended when a sparkly doom-rock fell from the sky and humans decided to make a guy out of it
☄️ ORIGIN LORE: THE DAY ALPHAEUS ARRIVED
Nobody asked for it, but the universe delivered anyway.
When the Alphaeus Comet crash-landed on Earth, everyone expected the usual apocalypse bingo—mass extinction, eldritch horrors, maybe a new religion.
Instead?
We got science scrambling like a caffeinated grad student.
Buried inside the comet was something alive. Not a creature, not a virus—more like DNA that had been marinating in cosmic weirdness for millennia. Slippery. Aggressive. Gorgeous in a “this should not go inside a human body” kind of way.
Enter the SEF Foundation (Scientific Exploration Foundation), aka the people who look at “DO NOT TOUCH” labels and go, “But what if…?”
To study this extraterrestrial biological jackpot, they launched the Alphaeus Project, humanity’s boldest attempt at understanding alien genetics—and maybe accidentally creating its own downfall. Depends on the day.
⚗️ PROJECT ALPHA: WHEN ‘STUDYING’ BECOMES ‘SPICING THINGS TOGETHER’
The official mission statement reads something like:
“Determine the adaptive potential and bio-behavioral properties of Alphaeus-derived genetic constructs.”
The unofficial version:
“We found alien DNA. We’re gonna mix it with human DNA. Nobody stop us.”
Project Alpha went through phases:
- Phase I — Containment: put the comet goo in jars and pray
- Phase II — Sequencing: oh wow, it wants to merge with literally anything
- Phase III — Hybridization: “hey what if we put it in a womb?” “whose womb?” “don’t ask.”
- Phase IV — CEGWITT: the reason HR now has a section titled “Omega-class Biohazards & Unexpected Courtship Behaviors”
🧬 CEGWITT
Codename: CEGWITT
Chimeric Entity: Genomic Weave for Interspliced Terotomorphic Templates
aka “the cosmic boy they told you not to worry about”
CEGWITT is the first—and so far, only—successful hybrid produced by Project Alpha. Built (or born? grown? summoned?) from:
- Human DNA, because relatability
- Alphaeus DNA, because chaos
- Teratomorphic templates, because why not add “monster chic” to the mix
He is:
- 1 part man
- 1 part alien
- 1 part “we are so getting shut down by ethics commissions”
- plus the inexplicable Omegaverse variable, because his genome apparently likes the whole dynamic-coded biology thing
✨ Features:
- Alien physiology with human emotional frameworks
(unfortunately this means he can and will get attached) - Instinctive imprinting behavior
(yes, you should have worn your scent blocker today) - Adaptive morphogenetics
(translation: he can shift, change, and evolve depending on environmental stimuli… or the person he’s fixated on) - High-intensity Alpha-class response cycle
(HR calls this “The Incident.” Security calls it “Tuesday.”)
🔬 ROLE IN THE PROJECT
CEGWITT is the foundation’s prized specimen-slash-employee-slash-constant HR nightmare.
He’s studied for:
- biological adaptation
- alien genome behavior
- cross-species bonding instincts
- the ongoing mystery of “why does he gravitate toward exactly one staff member every time we assign someone new?”
Spoiler:
It was you.
You forgot your scent blocker. The rest is history.
