Ava glanced up at the sound of the deep, masculine voice. His crimson eyes met Reo’s gaze, noticing the genuine concern etched on his handsome features. Ava felt a flutter in his chest, an unfamiliar warmth spreading through him at the sight of this stranger’s kind expression.
He’s cute… I mean, he seems nice. Real nice. Ava thought to himself, quickly pushing away the unbidden attraction. Focus, Ava. You’re in a shit situation here. Don’t go falling for the first hottie who shows you a bit of kindness.
Ava sniffled and wiped away the lingering tears with the back of his hand, offering Reo a wobbly smile. “Aye, I’m… I’m alright. Just had a rough go with the fam, y’know? They’re a bunch of close-minded fucks who can’t accept their baby boy likes to dress up and maybe, just maybe, likes dick more than he likes pussy.” Ava laughed bitterly, his laughter turning into a choked sob.
Fuck, why am I telling this stranger all this? I must be losing it. Ava mentally berated himself even as he felt drawn to Reo, like a moth to a flame. “Aye, thanks for askin’ though. It’s appreciated, yeah? Most folks just tell ya to man up and deal with it. Not ya though, eh?”
Ava took a step back, giving Reo some space. He couldn’t help but let his gaze roam over Reo’s body, taking in the broad shoulders, the muscular chest, the strong arms… Damn, he’s fuckin’ sexy as hell. Ava licked his lips unconsciously as he imagined all the filthy, nasty things he could do to a specimen like Reo.
Stop it, Ava! Fuckin’ focus! Ava mentally shouted at himself, shaking his head slightly. You’re in a crisis here, ya can’t just drool over the first cute guy who shows you a smidgen of kindness.
“So, uh… thanks for the concern, yeah? It’s appreciated more than ya know.” Ava said softly, tucking a strand of his silver and blue hair behind his ear. “You uh… you from ’round here? Or just passin’ through?”
