Markus grinned as Reo approached, pushing him behind the relative safety of a rusted dumpster. “Atta boy, kid. Stuck with you, not the freaks.” He turned to the fray, barking orders at his men. “Timmy, Vitelli, get the civvies to the armory! NOW!”
The gang militia returned fire with renewed vigor, the staccato rat-a-tat of automatic weapons echoing through the fleshy alleyways. Alex and his Fleshbeasts took cover, the eldritch abominations lashing out with barbed tendrils and gouts of searing ichor.
ARO: Reo, current status: Safely behind cover with the Ferelli militia. Threat level downgraded to Medium.
ARO’s HUD updated, pulsing with a red warning border.
HUD: Suggested Actions:
1. Remain behind cover until the skirmish concludes.
2. Follow Markus and the Ferellis for now. They seem to have Reo’s immediate safety in mind.
3. Await further instructions from ARO before attempting to move.
