ARO: “Well, what do we have here? I’m picking up some rather… unusual biometric readings from this character. Let’s add him to the database, shall we?”
The stranger’s eyes widened, a sly grin spreading across his face as Reo addressed him. The flesh beneath his clothes seemed to ripple and shift, as if alive.
Stranger: “Well, ain’t you a polite one! Name’s Cegwitt, or at least that’s the name I go by ’round these parts. And who might you be, traveler?” Cegwitt’s voice was smooth as honey, with a slight drawl that seemed to echo in the air around them.
Behind Cegwitt, the city pulsed with a strange, otherworldly light. The buildings seemed to writhe and undulate, their fleshy walls glistening in the dim illumination. Tendrils of muscle and sinew snaked along the streets, throbbing with a life of their own.
ARO’s interface flickered, updating with new information:
HUD:
– Person of Interest: Cegwitt (Unidentified)
– Biometric Scans: Incomplete
– Location: Nameless City—Entrance Plaza
– Environmental Scan: Unidentified organic structures detected. City appears to be a single, interconnected organic entity.
“Cegwitt, huh? I’ve got a good feelin’ about this fella, Reo. Go on, ask him more!” ARO urged, its avatar giving a thumbs-up on the screen.
